Sea of Light
This painting came out of wonder. I wanted the sky and water to feel almost inseparable, as if heaven had lowered itself into the sea. The shimmering reflections were painted with a sense of awe, but also with longing, because beauty this open can make the heart feel both full and small at once. For me, this piece is about surrendering to vastness and letting light do the speaking.
