Fire on the Horizon

This piece was driven by the feeling of pressing forward even when the day is closing. I was moved by the contrast between danger and beauty, between the dark waves and the burning sky. The ship became a symbol of faith under pressure, of light carried through uncertainty. I painted it with the emotion that hope can glow brightest when surrounded by deep water and gathering night.
